Dear Choir Parents, Thank you for joining us for the Choir Booster Meeting last Monday. We hope you gained some insights to the Choir program, met a few people, and enjoyed watching our kids perform. If you still have questions, please let us know. Choreographer Andy Haines is in town this week to work with our students. As a reminder, if your student cannot make a rehearsal, please have him or her speak with Chris Pratt asap. Your student is required to have a substitute at rehearsal to facilitate blocking. Here are a few other items you may want to know this week:
COUPON BOOKS FUNDRAISER — Your choir student has received his or her 10 GP Coupon books. All proceeds from the coupon books is due to Anita Adams by October 11th. Please encourage your student to send an email to (or call or visit) neighbors, friends and family and sell the books this week. Remember, all books sold by your student beyond the required 10 puts $10/book into your student’s choir savings account. JOIN THE BOOSTERS— We are still trying to get full participation. Click here to become a booster: http://www.gpsouthchoir.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/2019- 2020-Choir-Booster-Membership-Appplication.pdf All booster members signed up by October 1 will be recognized in the Fall Follies program. INTERNATIONAL TRIP— For those interested in this year’s choir International trip to Poland and Austria registration forms must be turned in tomorrow and full payment is due by the end of the month. VOLUNTEER NEEDS— Thank you to all of you who signed up to volunteer to help the Choir. We still need all of our choir families to join the boosters and volunteer their time and talents where they can. Please take a look at this semester’s sign up genius and sign up where your time and talent allows. Click here to volunteer: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c084faca7238-volunteer3 We are currently in need of 2-3 parents willing to hang the senior banners at the PAC before Fall Follies (and future shows if willing) and take them down after the final show. The task entails zip tying banners to the ceiling rails before the first show and cutting them down after the last show. Please contact us or sign up at the above link to help with this task. VOLUNTEER SHOUT OUTS THIS WEEK— Thank you to Anne and John Leo for hosting the first leg of last night’s Kercheval Choir Trolley Crawl. Anne and John are the most gracious hosts and made sure we all felt welcome. Anne Duffey Leo is our Membership Chair on the Executive Board, when she is not running her business Duffey & Co, and is working hard to increase our booster membership. Thank you Anne and John! Thank you too to the GP establishments who support our Choir and donated food and designated areas for the Choir crawlers to enjoy last night: Village Grill, Atwater in the Park (Mark and Sheri Rieth) and Rustics (Bob and Michelle Conlan). Thanks to all the parents who joined us for the crawl. We all had good fun venturing down Kercheval and getting to know each other better. Thank you too to former Choir grandparent Hank Darlington for volunteering his time and talent to take (and retake in the case of most of our senior girls) the Senior banner portraits. When you see the banners hanging at the PAC during each show this year, remember to thank Hank! FALL FOLLIES— Is October 11 and 12. If you want to submit a personal program ad to give a shout out to your choir student, ads are due to Anita Adams with payment by October 1st. If you need help creating your ad, we can help for $15.
