The Singers and Parents Create the Show

Our choral students and families are the heart of the program. The students are talented and determined, putting in hours of challenging work to perform their best at every show and competition. While their families help, love, and support the singers and volunteer to help run the program. Without them, it would be difficult to maintain the tradition of excellence.

Performance Ready

Grosse Pointe South Choir has a magical way of making shows sparkle. The students spend dozens of hours of their time, both in class and in rehearsal; getting ready for shows. That's why before the performances, students pay attention to the shoes they wear, and what their hair looks like. 

The star of each performance is the unity of excellence that comes from doing things to the choir standards each time.

Student Leadership 

Each year, a new set of leaders are elected to lead the choir student body. These leaders provide support during times of adversity and also join the celebrations in times of triumph! 

Responsibility, independence, leadership are all characters of the choir student executive board. Which often help with the organization, problem solving, and rallying that often takes place in the choir groups.

A representative for the younger choir students, these leaders often help students navigate the trying times of high school and often go out of their way to assist and help all students.

Booster Assistant

Sherette Cline 
Sherette Cline has been involved in musical theater and the performing arts for most of her adult life. Throughout her time as a soldier in the Army, she often found herself performing in local community theater productions stateside and in Italy. Sherette was the lead singer of a Rock & Roll band that went on to compete and place in the U.S. Army Battle of the Bands. She auditioned for and was selected to be a member of the elite U.S. Army Soldier Show, which performed USO shows across the United States and Europe. Upon moving to the Grosse Pointe community she has been fortunate to volunteer with choirs at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Her introduction to the South Show Choir came in 2014 when her daughter was first a part of the program. Sherette jumped at the opportunity to become the choir Booster Assistant in order to give even more to the program, and has not regretted one second of it! She truly loves her time spent with all of the kids in choir as they bring this magical program to life.
